Congressman Patrick Murphy, Connected with FPL, Betrays Enviros and Supports Fracking

Despite the impression some may have that Democrats will be on their side in Florida per fracking, U.S. congressman Patrick Murphy (D, FL-18) may serve as a cautionary tale for the future.

Murphy said he was against fracking several times during his campaign. He also climbed aboard the fight to save St Lucie River/Indian River Lagoon.

But now FPL may have a friend in their pocket in their quest to shakedown customers for millions to pursue a fracking agenda.

As the letter below reveals, Murphy shows an openness to fracking. And he has received campaign contributions from Nextera, which is the parent company of FPL.

Why You Should Reject FPL's Fracking Proposal

FPL wants to charge customers in order to invest in fracking according to a News-Press article. This is to form a partnership with an unnamed Oklahoma company. Meanwhile, Senator Bullard and Senator Soto are pushing for a statewide ban.

Meanwhile, you shouldn't count on the Public Service Commission (PSC), which voted to back off of promoting renewables and totally caved to FPL, Duke, and Tampa Electric. The PSC may be voting on the fracking measure by the end of December.

Asking to charge customers for promised future gains is a situation you may want to think twice about agreeing to. Remember what happened to Duke Energy customers in Levy County left holding the bag for over a billion dollars.

And we're talking about creditors of Enron here. Plus, if Dan A Hughes was in on that action, a company sued for illegal fracking practices. (see pages 13 and 14)

Furthermore, newly re-elected Rep. Ray Rodrigues promises to push his fracker-backed disclosure bills again, meaning they still want to bring fracking to the area. So, in effect, you'd be paying to poison the groundwater, which Amendment 1 is supposed to address. This means a huge waste of money, and the spoiling of precious, the most precious, of our resources: water.

What it is important for customers to realize is that FPL is actually NEXTera Energy, a transnational corporation. Fracking is part of an international agenda to use the United States for extraction and export purposes and the ultimate beneficiaries of fracking are transnational corporations and not the consumer. In fact, the consumer will be stuck with greatly diminished water resources in a time of burgeoning drought.

Furthermore,  Lewis Hay, III of NEXTera Energy is also a title director in Harris Corporation, a company that is invested in tar sands extraction and this means customers would be charged for the highly unpopular Keystone XL pipeline or its substitute. Lewis Hay is, furthermore, connected all the way up to the White House. Harris Corporation is part of the national surveillance grid and Department of Defense.

Not only this, but Harris Corporation has been spying on citizens via its stingray technology, which operates as a fake cell phone tower in order to perform an unconstitutional seizure of cell phone records.

No doubt with such close relationships with FPL and fracking, Harris Corporation shares said data with FTI Consulting, a private spy corporation based in Florida that has been also providing PR for fracking. FTI Consulting actually hired CIA agents to work for them, and was documented fomenting violent riots in Venezuela.

The Caloosahatchee Manuscripts, a sculpture in downtown Fort Myers, was commissioned by Florida Power and Light to commemorate the switch to natural gas. Natural gas is a product of fracking.

According to an FPL webpage (now erased):

 "This unveiling and dedication ceremony not only celebrates the community, but also the FPL employees and contractors who are working to "repower" the Fort Myers plant. By next year, the repowered plant will more than triple its output of electricity to meet the growth of customers in Southwest Florida in the coming years.
Repowering means converting a 1950s oil-fired plant on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River to new natural gas-fired technology, thus contributing to the increasing need for electricity in the region, while also providing cleaner air and reduced oil barge traffic on nearby waters."


This was in reference to a dedication ceremony on April 6, 2001. Mayor Jim Humphrey, Tony Rodriguez (FPL Vice President then), and Karl Hollander, executive director of the Alliance for the Arts were part of the proceedings. Jim Sanborn, the artist, was also present to give interviews.

Why commission an artwork to commemorate natural gas? It says on the erased page that the Mayor and the city council were in on it. Did they want something from FPL in order to grant their compliance with the change?

Natural gas has been touted by President Obama as a "transitional fuel", and fracking has not been broached as a concern in his administration despite massive popular concern with the practice which is rampant in the United States. Fracking poisons groundwater permanently and causes frackquakes.

President Obama has pushed for the change to natural gas as a fuel citing global warming as a concern. However, he has simultaneously ramped up fossil fuel extraction which casts doubt on his supposed good intentions. In fact, some wonder if global warming is actually manufactured.

One must wonder how long this plan has been in play, and what it's true purpose is. Could it be part of a plan to frighten the population into accepting a giveaway of more of their rights to a global elite?

Jim Sanborn was also commissioned by the CIA to create Kyptos, a coded message.

So, why do the intelligence community and frackers love his cryptic monuments? He also has works at the NOAA Museum of the Sea, Silver Spring, Marylan, and at the Department of Energy, Coast, and Environment, Lousianna State University, Baton Rouge, LA, and at the MIT Department of Microbiology, Cambridge, MA. His artwork has also explored such topics as depleted uranium shells.

And Fort Myers, Florida? The center of known civilization?

Jim Sanborn also has a fascination with Egypt, as illustrated in The Mummy Room. One of the encoded messages at his CIA project concerned the moment of discovery of King Tut's tomb.

What codes could be hidden in the Caloosahatchee Manuscripts?

Are they about the true agenda behind fracking?

On the Caloosahatchee Manuscripts we see many natural species listed by Thomas Edison, studied for their potential for producing rubber. There is also an ancient Native American story on the plaque.

The plaque reads: “From 1927-1931, Thomas A. Edison studied and tested 13,000-17,000 species of plants for their suitability in the manufacture of a domestic source of rubber."

Ironically, after the groundwater is poisoned, none of these plants can be grown.

Edison died before completing his rubber experiments. Also ironic was Edison's abusive relationship with Nikola Tesla. Tesla purportedly developing free energy technologies which would have made fossil fuels obsolete. This is recorded as having been suppressed by Edison and J.P. Morgan.

The Maine Reason Lee County, Florida is So Corrupt

If you were watching Jeopardy and one of the answers was "This Man Currently is the Mayor of Southwest Florida" and one of the contestants proceeded to answer "Who is Governor Paul LaPage?", you might be justifiably dumbstricken. But, you shouldn't have been alarmed, for you would have finally arrived at a sort of reality.

In the beginning of this year, Politoc Magazine dubbed LaPage the "craziest" governor. Here are some of the reasons--

The mural below used to be at the Department of Labor in Maine, but Lapage had it removed because the suffering from corporate excess, voting, striking, and demonstrating depicted were compared to North Korean propaganda in an anonymous letter. Clearly, when commoners think they should have any rights, or benefits from their labor, we're in the territory of pure communism. Solidarity, yikes!

LaPage also told the NAACP "kiss my butt" when he refused to attend a Martin Luther King Jr. Day breakfast, and quipped that "some women may have little beards" when he decided to allow BPA, an endocrine disruptor, back into baby bottles. This was included in a wish list of his that rolled back state environmental regulations in favor of weaker federal laws.

An interesting item on this environmental wish list was evidence it originated with Preti Flaherty Belivei & Pachios's. This is a law firm at One City Center, Portland Maine.  

This same firm set up Strategic Advocacy which runs the campaigns of several Florida State House representatives, under the authority of Laurene Wilson-McNerney, of Preti Flaherty Beliveau, and Maine Secretary of State Charlie Summers. Other players were Roy Lenardson, Jonathan Piper, Ann Robinson, and Anthony Buxton.

Strategic Advocacy runs the campaigns of several Florida State House Representatives, at least 3 of which represent Lee County, Florida: Ray Rodrigues, Matt Caldwell, and Dane Eagle. They officially pay Action Point Campaigns for the service of being run by these Maine guys.

Now, some would have it that it's not Governor LaPage that's running Southwest Florida, but, rather, these guys that are running Governor LaPage...and Southwest Florida. Or maybe it's sort of both.
There's a definition of fascism which states it's the union of corporate and political power. Could that be what this is?

Well, there's a lot of evidence indicating that Governor LaPage, as well as our local representatives, outsource the writing of legislation to Preti Flaherty Belivei & Pachios, and it serves to get laws into place for corporate interests. These corporate interests, in turn, help secure the career of the politician, providing funding, advertising, and perhaps other, more covert, forms of  assistance. And it's all good because jobs, freedom, democracy, and cheap gas.

Either way, it's very difficult to imagine a group of lawyer and public relations operators from another state are highly concerned with We the People of Southwest Florida. Why is it we need to outsource campaign management from another state? And management consisting of lobbyists and legislation ghost writers at that?


Another lobbying group LaPage is fond of is Pierce Atwood.  LaPage named Patricia Aho of Pierce Atwood as head of the Maine DEP, and Pierce Atwood will soon be hosting an event promoting natural gas (ala fracking) in Maine.

Perhaps you didn't know that FPL, now officially NextEra, owned dams in Maine? And Pierce Atwood represented Brookfield which purchased some such dams? And that, when she worked for Pierce Atwood, they were representing FPL? And a 7 month investigation indicated she was really still working for FPL, so to speak?

It's a small world. Maybe Florida runs Maine, never mind.

But luckily, NextEra is actually a transnational, so it all evens out.

And we, luckily, have a DEP Secretary, Herschel Vinyard, who only worked for BAE Systems, so we need not worry about such conflicts of interest. BAE Systems only makes weapons, like HAARP, beam weapons, planes with healing skin, that kind of thing.

And, also, BAE Systems cares about environmental sustainability, so whew! Except for these BAE Systems fracking jobs, but those aren't really fracking jobs.

I guess those hundreds of rules were erased for good reasons, just like that mural.And Herschel Vinyard isn't a lobbyist anyway.
